SIX Buy and Sell
Vehicle Marketplace Platform
Designed and engineered India's fastest-growing buy/sell marketplace for new and used cars, bikes, and scooties — featuring 3,000+ verified listings, free vehicle inspection, instant price offers, and a direct seller-to-buyer model eliminating all middlemen.

The Structural Challenge
The Indian used vehicle market was dominated by opaque, middlemen-heavy transactions where buyers had no reliable way to verify vehicle history, seller credibility, or fair pricing. Sellers faced the same frustration — no trusted channel to reach genuine buyers without losing a significant cut to brokers and aggregators.
Existing platforms offered classified listings but lacked verification infrastructure, inspection pipelines, and real-time pricing intelligence. The result was a market riddled with fraud, inflated prices, and broken trust — creating a massive opportunity for a transparent, technology-first platform.
Building at scale across India's diverse automotive market required supporting multiple vehicle types (cars, bikes, scooties — both new and used), multilingual user flows, location-aware search, and a robust inspection and verification system that could operate consistently across hundreds of cities.
The Systems Architecture & Solution
We architected SIX as a full-stack marketplace platform built on Next.js with server-side rendering for SEO-critical listing pages, and a React-based dynamic frontend for search and discovery. A multi-layered search system combines Elasticsearch for full-text and faceted filtering with geospatial indexing to surface hyperlocal results sorted by relevance, condition score, and pricing intelligence.
Seller verification is enforced at onboarding — ID verification gates premium listing access, and a 250+ point inspection checklist is applied to all dealer vehicles before badge award. Owner listings pass a 30+ point checklist. Real-time pricing suggestions are generated from a market intelligence engine that aggregates transactional data across the platform to give sellers competitive, evidence-based asking prices.
The platform integrates directly with SIX Finance (sixfinance.app) for in-platform loan pre-approval and EMI calculation, removing the friction that previously caused buyers to abandon during financing discovery. A direct messaging system with masked contact details protects both parties until they choose to connect.

The Measurable Enterprise Impact
SIX rapidly established itself as a trusted vehicle marketplace across India, achieving 3,000+ verified listings within the first operating year. The verified badge system drove a 4x higher inquiry rate on certified listings compared to unverified ones, demonstrating that trust infrastructure directly converts to commercial outcomes.
The platform's no-middlemen model resonated strongly with both sides of the market — sellers retained 100% of their asking price while buyers gained confidence through inspection certificates and verified seller profiles. The SIX Finance integration contributed to a 38% increase in successful purchase completions by eliminating the financing gap in the buyer journey.
